Book containing biographies of fifty women who were involved with the development of Texas. The women come from a wide variety of classes and ethnic groups, and many of the authors are descended from their subjects.

This book is the compilation of several journals written by some of the women who settled Texas. The book is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good tale, but also for the history buff. I've read it twice and have purchased it so I can read it again.
